It was Peter who pointed this piece out. He exclaimed how the rustic look of the sign itself was appealing. I noticed that the font is small compared to the huge back drop of rusted metal forcing me to ask, why does this work? What I love about this is the designer took a calculated risk that worked. The decor gives a feel of rustic and almost bare bones. What I think makes it works so well is that the design communicates that there is disregard for technology and a focus on traditional methods of creating ramen.
